Peter Jaramillo, CIH

Principal Industrial Hygienist

Peter Jaramillo is a dynamic, solutions-oriented Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with over three decades of experience in occupational and environmental health & safety.

Peter performs air and noise monitoring; conducts indoor air quality and other industrial hygiene investigations; evaluates, develops, and oversees health & safety programs and plans; conducts hazard/risk assessments and ergonomics surveys; assesses work practices, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and emergency preparedness; evaluates confined space, and addresses complex ventilation and odor issues; provides employee training and staff mentoring; acts as a technical resource, subject matter expert, and regulatory liaison; and provides expert witness testimony and other legal support on cases related to occupational health & safety.

Since 2016, Peter has been providing expert witness services for legal cases involving exposures to Coccidioides immitis (the "Valley fever" pathogen) in the Central Valley region of California.

Peter serves as a corporate CIH for the Oakland office of Intertek PSI where he performs field surveys for indoor air quality, noise, and mold; develops industrial hygiene programs; reviews documents related to occupational health & safety; and trains and mentors junior staff.

In 2010, Peter was retained by Zeigle Consulting (under contract to Bureau Veritas) to supervise ship decommissioning efforts related to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill cleanup in Pascagoula, MS. He provided oversight on decontamination activities, trained workers, reviewed confined space entry data, and recommended modifications in safety procedures.

In 2009–2010, Peter served as the on-site CIH for Merck's San Francisco campus, where he directed the animal allergens program, conducted risk assessments, managed the industrial hygiene database, addressed safety concerns, reviewed audit findings, and made regulatory compliance recommendations.

Peter has a masters of science degree in Health Science, and has been certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene since 1990. For 20 years (1997–2017), Peter was the sole proprietor of Risk Control Consulting Services, an industrial hygiene consulting firm and certified DBE.

Bo Dash

Principal Technical Editor

As a document specialist with 30+ years of professional experience, Bo Dash is a recognized expert in the editing, formatting, and production of environmental, engineering, geoscience, energy, infrastructure, natural resources, health & safety, and other technical and scientific documentation.

Bo's current projects include technical editing of NEPA/CEQA documents related to the California High-Speed Rail Project, a joint venture by the California High-Speed Rail Authority and Federal Railroad Administration.


In 2017–2018, Bo edited several drafts of the Environmental Impact Report for the BART to Livermore Extension Project.

In 2013–2014, Bo was primary editor on two high-profile engineering/design proposals: (1) Westside Subway Extension of the Metro Purple Line for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; and (2) LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Program for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Each of these proposal efforts involved multiple stakeholders and was led by an international consortium of environmental, construction, design engineering, capital asset management, and operational consultants. 

In 2010–2011, Bo performed substantive editing of the World Water Development Report, 4th Edition, for the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization. 

From 2006 to 2014, Bo performed extensive editing on various documents related to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Water System Improvement Program, one of the largest water infrastructure programs in the U.S.

In the mid-2000s, Bo was sole technical editor for the Oregon Department of Forestry's Elliott State Forest Management Plan.

In 2001, Bo reviewed the technical manuscript of the reference manual MTBE: Effects on Soil and Groundwater Resources for the Independent Environmental Technical Evaluation Group. 

Previously, Bo was the sole proprietor of Envirocal, a DBE-certified consulting firm specializing in technical editing and document production.
